We invite you to the IX.th International Underwater hockey tournament "Memorial Bostjana Mesareca" in Kranj Slovenia. The competition counts also for the "Alpine league" but other teams are welcome. Especialy GB teams have a cheap flight from London by Easyjet.
 
Date & Time:
 
Saturday 26th February 2005 at the olimpic swimming pool in Kranj - Slovenia. Start of the competition 12,30 PM. Captains meeting at the pool 11,30 AM.
 
Duration of the tournament (two playing areas):

       

 
from 12,30 till about 21,00 PM. All other informations about the duration of the games...etc will be available at the captains meeting.

Wednesday 16.th Febraury !!! Last year we had to change the shedule last minute, because unregistered teams arrived.
Because of the huge interest please register as soon as posible. We take only the first 18 teams. Please send a email with nr. of mens & womens teams. Mixed teams are listed as mens. Register by email to gastro@siol.net.

Registration fee: 100 EUR per team will be payed at the captains meeting. 
 
Separate womens competition:
 
We will have a separete womans team competition in case we have 4 womans teams registered (already preregistered 5). Mixed teams should compete in the mens competition.
 
Winners ceremony:
 
The winners ceremony will be held at the pool after the final match. We have no dinner planned. Informations about reastaurants, pizzerias etc. will be available. We will invite you to a club in the old part of the city (10 min. walk) where we can have a party.

Travel informations:
 

  • Cheapest flights form UK (London Stanstead) by Easyjet www.easyjet.com The Ljubljana airport is located only 10 km from Kranj.

  • If you come from northern Europe (UK, France, Netherlands, Germany ...), just follow the signs for Austria, and Villach (it's a city in southwest Austria). From Villach you'll go through a tunnel called Karawankentunnel. You'll come out in Jesenice, Slovenia. From there just follow the roadsigns for Kranj, or Ljubljana, if there's no Kranj on the sign.

  • If you come from southern or western Europe (Spain, France, Italy), follow the signs in Italy for Trieste and from there to Ljubljana (Slovenia). Follow the road to Ljubljana and from there to Kranj.
